Lake of the Ozarks Branch 32

Members of the FRA (Fleet Reserve Association) Lake of the Ozarks Branch 32 recently elected Shipmate Stephanie Roberson to serve as branch president for the coming year. This is a newly chartered branch for the Lake of the Ozarks and as shipmate president, she will preside at the branch’s monthly meetings and appoint other branch members, called shipmates, to lead committees and organize community service projects.


Additionally, Shipmate Curtis Sprinkler was elected as the branch’s First Vice-President and William Hilt will assume the responsibilities of Branch Secretary. Shipmate Robert Behm is Branch Treasurer, Shipmate “Tom” Jacobson appointed as Chaplain, and Shipmate Hugh Mills was appointed as Master at Arms (MAA).


Branch 32 will meet on the SECOND Thursday of the month, at 1800 (6 pm), at the Sunrise Beach Little Theatre,15133 N. Hwy 5, Sunrise Beach, MO. For information, phone: 573-207-4670.

Gravois Mills FRA Receives National Charter

Two Gravois Mills Fleet Reserve Association and VFW members received new titles in August. Maria and Bob Behm of the Gravois Mills VFW have been key members in ensuring a new charter for the Fleet Reserve Association, a national organization of enlisted and veterans of the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard and their reserves.

The Lake of the Ozarks branch is newly formed by Maria Behm, with members Bob Behm and Stephanie Roberson. Branch 32 meets at Gravois Mills VFW hall, with Stephanie Roberson inducted as the new branch President in July. Stephanie is a Victim's Advocate at the Presecuter's office in Morgan and Moniteau counties. She is a Coast Guard Veteran and will serve as the new Lake of the Ozarks chapter for 2021-2022.

Maria Behm of Laurie structured the new chapter under the National Fleet Reserve Association charter which was signed bymebers Thursday, August 12 at Inn of the Grand Glaize in Osage Beach at their annual regional convention. Behm was also honored by being elected as the new North Central Regional President of the FRA.

Bob and Maria Behm, both naval veterans originally from Northern California, now living in the Laurie area, are members of the Gravois Mills VFW, and their son Brian Behm, an Army veteran, is the post commander.
